Looking for fun, adventure… and value? Our two-day group tour is a fast break from the beach, landing you and just a few other adventure lovers in Kenya’s largest reserve, Tsavo East National Park. Think lions, cheetahs, leopards, buffalo, and lots more big game you won’t find roaming anywhere near your beach resort!
To get up close to this wildlife you’ll need to jump into our group 4 x 4 safari Jeep for the quick 2 ½ hour trip to this legendary park, where ferocious lions roam near great tusker elephants, African wildcat, giraffe, antelope, zebra, and monkeys.
This quick coastal escape is an easy way to enjoy the company of other safari-goers as we bring you to the land of magnificent big game.
So come join the group and let us introduce you to a world of excitement.

Just call, WhatsApp, email us or fill online enquiry form and one of our friendly travel advisors will have you on the road to adventure.
What’s Cool About Tsavo East?
The lions. They have a reputation for ferocity… even known in times past as “manhunters’. And there are hundreds of them. But what makes them unusual to the eye is that the unique sub-species of lions inhabiting the park don’t sport the usual distinctive manes. They are a breed unto themselves.
Much of the wildlife is different in this almost mythical park. For instance, on our two-day safari, you’ll spot some of the reserve’s thousands of elephants, some sporting a rosy coat upon their great flanks. They weren’t born this way. The big tuskers like to take a “bath” in the park’s reddish-oxide soil, dressing up with a rouge look for the evening!
Even the landscapes with their angular features will draw you into the special properties of this park. We’ll visit the elephants drinking at the watering hole formed by Mudanda Rock, a large natural dam.
Hippos? Crocodiles? We’ll find them on the banks of the Tsavo’s Galana River, not far from the cascades of Lugard’s Falls, plunging to the cool pools beneath.

Day 1
Diani Beach – Tsavo East National Park
2-3 Hour Drive
Meals: Lunch & Dinner
8:00 am – Time to head out from the beach for your two-day group adventure. Your Africa Kenya Safaris driver/guide will swing by your hotel in a 4 x 4 Land Cruiser Jeep. Hop in to join your safari mates as we travel down the Nairobi-Mombasa Highway.
You’ll get to know each other as the orange sun rises over the landscapes, bathing you all in the most flattering light of the day.
It won’t be long before we arrive at Tsavo East National Park. We’ll get settled at our accommodation and then jump into the 4 x 4, rumbling out over the immense fields, tracking for lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, giraffes, zebra, antelope, and monkeys.
We’ll take a lunch break at our accommodation and head back to the savannah for more safari action.
Stopping by the watering holes at Mudanda Rock or the Aruba Dam, there’s a good chance we’ll spot the elephants quenching their thirst at these important oases.
Soon it will be time for dinner and we’ll retreat to our Tsavo East accommodation.
It’s been an exciting day and we can swap stories of our first day on safari.

Day 2
Tsavo East – Diani Beach
2 -3 Hour Drive
Meal: Breakfast & Lunch
Safari living means we’re up early to soak in the morning light and begin the day with a game drive in the cool air.
Then it’s breakfast time, surrounded by the flora and fauna of the great park.
We’ll hit the trail again exploring for big and small game. Have you spotted a red-dusted elephant yet?
The park is also alive with hundreds of species of colorful birdlife – kingfishers, ostriches, starlings, hornbills, herons, lovebirds, hawks, vultures, and many more. Hear their songs, calls, and chirps as you travel over the savannahs.
We will enjoy lunch at a rustic restaurant as we take in the wide expanse of the park.
Then one more game drive over these rugged fields and we’re off to the coast and Diani Beach.
We’ll have you back at the beach in time for dinner, where you can share stories of your Tsavo adventure.
Hard to believe so much incredible wildlife is so close to the beach and you got to witness the big cats, the elephants and so much more. Enjoying the safari life? Please visit us again and we’ll show you our other great parks. From the entire team at Africa Kenya Safaris, a big safari thanks!
