NAIROBI NATIONAL PARK TOURS – HALF DAY GROUP TOUR
Get Your Safari On - Just Minutes from Town
We Offer Two Daily Tours
Meet us at the Nairobi National Park gate!

Same day bookings? Not a problem!
Here’s a great intro to safari life. Nairobi National Park is close to the city but it’s the real deal. Incredibly, within sight of Nairobi’s skyline, you can spot lion, rhino, giraffe, buffalo, cheetah, hyena, and plenty more.
Where else in the world can you see downtown skyscrapers frame a grazing herd of giraffes? This is no zoo or theme park. No cages here. This is wildlife, naturally on the savannah as they have roamed for millennia.
Just think, minutes ago you were in a world-class capital city – now you’re on the plains where the East African migration of wildebeest and zebra invades by the thousands on their annual trek.
The park is only 30 minutes( 10KM)  south of Nairobi, but sightings of lions and hyenas are common. Seeing primal nature so close is an almost surreal experience – your friends won’t believe your photos!
And there’s lots more to experience in this unique spot – rhinos, hippos, ostrich, and hundreds of species of colorful birds. For us at Africa Kenya Safaris, this is our home park, and we take special pride in showing it off.

Help Us Save the Kifaru… the Rhino
Do you speak any Kiswahili? You do now – kifaru is the word for rhinoceros. The park supports the largest population of endangered black rhinos in Kenya and has earned the special nickname of Kifaru Ark.
Your visit helps fund the care and protection of the park’s rhinos. The conservation efforts here have been so successful the rhino population has steadily increased. Now the park has become a source for these endangered creatures for other reserves around the country.

Fast & Flexible
At AKS you write the rules. Travel and explore at your own pace in you own way. We’re fast, flexible, and always ready to respond to your requests. Book in advance or even the day before. We’ll get you out on safari – pronto!

On a Nairobi National Park Safari You Can Walk the Walk
Here’s another unique feature of the park – walking trails. Most national parks have few if any walking trails… not here. Enjoy your choice of a series of well-marked trails and get closer to the action.
There’s also a walking trail to the hippo pool and watch for crocodiles there as well. While you follow these trails keep your camera ready for sightings of white or black rhino and cheetah, buffalo, and possibly leopard or lion.
Make Some Friends
A group safari is a great way to make friends and meet other safari-loving adventurers. Share photos, swap stories, and maybe even discover other parks together. We can arrange other group tours for you throughout our country-wide choices of great national wildlife reserves.
Poaching – The Ivory Burning Monument
Perhaps the most dramatic symbol in the park is the Ivory Burning Monument. Created as a protest to rampant elephant poaching, several past presidents of Kenya burned hundreds of tons of illegal ivory at this spot – about 5% of all captured ivory in the world.
These dramatic ceremonies were a turning point in Kenya’s awareness of this criminal enterprise and began its dedicated commitment to protecting the country’s elephants.
