Safari means "to journey," and over this 4-day, 4-park adventure you'll explore Kenya's wildlife five different ways - by private 4x4 jeep on unlimited game drives, by boat on a Lake Naivasha sailing safari, on foot on a guided Crescent Island walking safari, and by bicycle (if you choose) through the geothermal landscapes of Hell's Gate National Park.
Then it's on to the iconic Masai Mara National Reserve for two full days of game drives among the Big Five, with an optional early-morning hot air balloon safari over the savannah as the dawn light breaks.

Nairobi → Lake Naivasha → Crescent Island → Hell's Gate National Park
7:00am pickup, then the scenic drive through the Great Rift Valley with its dramatic escarpments. At freshwater Lake Naivasha, a sailing safari past hippos, pelicans and cormorants, with antelope and buffalo grazing the shore.
The private reserve of Crescent Island is a short trip away, and we'll take a guided walking tour past giraffe, impala, gazelle and buffalo, with hippos and shorebirds also in residence. Then it's on by bicycle or 4x4 to Hell's Gate National Park, to view towering escarpments, active steam vents and hot springs, cycling or driving past giraffe, buffalo, antelope and other grazers along the way.

Up with the birds for a morning by the lake, then out toward the Masai Mara National Reserve through the Great Rift Valley's rising escarpments, with rest stops as we head into Masai country.

Full Day at Masai Mara Reserve
An early start for a full day of game drives - during the Great Migration season (June-October) an endless flow of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle crosses the Mara River.
A picnic lunch at the river, scene of the crossing and home to hippo and crocodile. Optional Maasai village visit and sunrise hot air balloon safari available today.
