Start at the coast, finish in the capital
Pick-up from Diani, Mombasa, Malindi or Watamu. 3 to 9 days across 8 parks, ending with your choice of drop-off point in Nairobi.
Leave the beach behind, arrive in Nairobi wild-eyed
Rather than a there-and-back trip, this route moves forward - from your coastal resort, through Kenya's parks, ending in Nairobi. Better for travellers connecting onward from the capital.
Style it your way: economy, luxury, or anything between. Tell us your preferences and we'll adjust any listed itinerary.

Diani Beach
South coast, closest to Shimba Hills and Tsavo East.
Mombasa
Kenya's second city - Old Town, Fort Jesus and Haller Park nearby.
Malindi
Swahili heritage town with its own marine park.
Watamu
Quiet beaches, snorkelling and the Arabuko Sokoke Forest Reserve.
8 parks between coast and capital
Visit one, two, or all of them - each itinerary can be adjusted to your days and interests.
A first taste - Tsavo or Amboseli
Tsavo East and West bring lions, red-dust elephants and, at Mzima Springs, hippos and crocodiles visible through an underwater viewing chamber.
Or head for Amboseli - elephant families marching beneath Kilimanjaro's snow-capped peak, a scene few forget.
Add the lakes and the Masai Mara
Lake Nakuru brings acacia forest, a rhino sanctuary and, in season, pink flamingo flocks. Lake Naivasha adds a sailing safari past pelicans, cormorants, hippos and antelope.
Finish at the Masai Mara - dense big cat populations, and, in July to October, the Great Migration crossing the plains in tens of thousands. You'll have started the day at the beach.

Beach to Nairobi safaris - your questions answered
Which coastal towns can I start from?
Diani Beach, Mombasa, Malindi or Watamu - all four offer pick-up for this route, ending with drop-off in Nairobi.
Will I see the Big Five?
We can't guarantee specific sightings, since this is wild, free-roaming wildlife - but Amboseli's elephant herds, Tsavo West's hippos and Ol Pejeta's rhinos give strong chances across the route.
Where can I be dropped off in Nairobi?
JKIA or Wilson Airport for onward flights, your Nairobi hotel, or another location of your choice - just let us know in advance.
Can I store luggage during the safari?
Yes - free storage is available at our Mombasa and Nairobi offices, or you can keep it with you; our 4x4 jeeps have space for luggage throughout.
Is luxury accommodation available on this route?
Yes - 3 to 9 day itineraries are available at economy, comfort or luxury level, with handpicked lodges and tented camps at each stop.
Can I customise which parks I visit?
Yes - tell us your days and interests, and we'll adjust the route from the 8 parks available, whether you want one stop or all of them.
