A safari the whole family remembers together
From toddlers to grandparents - Junior Ranger programmes, baby elephants, kids' clubs, and guides who know how to make wildlife land with every age.
Whatever "family" means for your trip
Very young children, school-age kids, teens, or three generations travelling together - we ask about ages, interests and expectations, then build an itinerary that keeps everyone genuinely engaged.
The Masai Mara alone offers big cats for younger kids, a hot air balloon flight for older ones, and a Maasai village visit - complete with an invitation to try the traditional jumping dance - for the whole group.
Plan a family safariBaby animals - everywhere you look
Near Nairobi, the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust delights every age with baby elephants bottle-feeding, playing in mud and even kicking footballs.
In the Ndutu region of the Serengeti, calving season brings thousands of newborn wildebeest, zebra, gazelle and giraffe - plus lion and cheetah cubs - all within view.
Junior Rangers, kids' clubs, and a break from screens
School-age children can join our guides as "Junior Rangers," tracking animal signs on nature walks. Many lodges also run kids' clubs with storytelling and babysitting.
For teens, a safari has a habit of doing what nothing else can - closing the laptop. We can also arrange conservation activities and community projects for older kids looking for something more hands-on.
Finish with turtles, dolphins and warm water
Diani, Mombasa and Zanzibar bring clean, uncrowded beaches with excellent snorkelling - a natural extension after days in the savannah, and a change of pace the whole family will enjoy.
