Samburu adds five species you won't see in the south
North of Nairobi, Samburu National Reserve holds the "Samburu Special Five" - Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, Beisa oryx and the gerenuk. The Ewaso Ng'iro River draws wildlife from a wide radius, especially in the dry season.

What wildlife can I expect to see on a week-long safari?
All Big Five, plus giraffe, zebra and over 1,000 recorded bird species. The Masai Mara is strongest for lion and leopard sightings, Amboseli for large elephant herds, and Samburu for species found nowhere else in Kenya's southern parks.
What accommodation is included?
You choose the style: luxury lodges with full amenities, tented camps with en-suite bathrooms and private verandas, or smaller eco-friendly camps in remote locations. All options are confirmed with you before booking.
Which parks work best for a longer safari from Nairobi?
Masai Mara for the Great Migration and big cats, Samburu for its unique northern wildlife and cultural encounters, and Amboseli for elephant herds set against Kilimanjaro. Longer trips let you combine two or three without rushing.
What vehicle and guide will I have?
A 4x4 safari jeep with a pop-up roof for unobstructed game viewing, seatbelts and roll bars for safety, and an experienced Kenyan driver-guide trained in animal behaviour and park navigation throughout your trip.
