This safari is a discovery of Kenya's colorful ecosystems - sprawling savannahs, world-class mountains, high-altitude lakes and deep canyons, each with its own resident wildlife and birdlife.
Your first stop, Amboseli National Park, sits beneath the towering form of Mt. Kilimanjaro, filled with free-ranging elephant herds. Then Lake Naivasha beckons with an easy sailing safari past hippos, before the Masai Mara - our final and biggest park - for prides of lion, buffalo, elephant and, in season, the Great Migration.

Nairobi → Amboseli National Park
7:00am pickup from your hotel, residence or the airport. We head down the Nairobi/Mombasa Highway through Masai country, with Mt. Kilimanjaro's rising tower a sign we're approaching Amboseli.
Arriving late morning, we freshen up at our accommodation, then it's safari time - a 4x4 game drive through the park looking for elephant, lion, cheetah, zebra, giraffe, gazelle and the park's rich birdlife. Toward evening we head back for dinner and rest.

Amboseli → Lake Naivasha
An early rise for a final morning game drive, tracking elephant and big cats in the morning light with Kilimanjaro behind us, then breakfast amid the natural splendor.
We head for Lake Naivasha through the scenic Great Rift Valley, passing through Nairobi for a lunch stop. Arriving in the late afternoon, an optional sailing safari floats past bathing hippos, cormorant, pelican and grazing antelope on the shore.

Up with the birds for a game drive around the Naivasha area, then on the road toward the big park - the Masai Mara.
We'll be at the park in time for an afternoon game drive, taking in the grandeur of this world-famous reserve, home to prides of lion and all the big cats. Dinner awaits at our Mara accommodation.

Full Day Masai Mara
An early morning game drive over the Mara's golden hills - the reserve is a wonderland of wildlife, the most in the region.
Lunchtime brings a picnic down at the Mara River, crossing site for the Great Migration (July-October) and home to hippo and crocodile. Optional hot air balloon safari and Maasai village visit available today.

Masai Mara → Nairobi
Breakfast at your accommodation, then out of the park and back toward Nairobi, with time to enjoy the vistas along the route.
A lunch stop to soak up the scenery, arriving in the capital at about 4:30pm - lakes, mountains and savannahs, and all the wildlife they hold, behind you.
Everything handled, nothing hidden
Private 4x4 Land Cruiser transport, Nairobi airport/hotel pickup and drop-off, your choice of economy/comfort/luxury lodges or tented camps, an experienced English-speaking driver-guide, bottled water, park entrance fees, all game drives, all meals on safari, government taxes, and Flying Doctors emergency evacuation cover.
